These are the only things you need to know about quantum physics unless you are a physicist or a mathematician.
- Quantum physics is the science of particles.
- Nobody has ever seen a particle and there is no accepted definition of what a particle is. Particles are too small to be observed.
- Quantum physics replaces observation with calculation. A quantum is a calculated amount. It is never an observed object. Quanta are lots of calculated amounts.
- Because a particle has never been seen, what is calculated is the probability of the positions and movements of particles. Therefore, the calculation gives us amounts (quanta) of probability.
- This probability is calculated in 360 degrees, in 3 dimensions. It is calculated in all possible directions and at all possible distances, and can be positive or negative.
- Quanta are groups of related probabilities, not groups of particles. This is critical. It is a common mistake to assume that quanta are groups of particles.
- These probabilities, or quanta, behave like frequencies, as they are clustered in more probable and less probable phases.
- The frequency of probability rises and falls in a wave pattern.
- This is why probability is calculated using a wave function.
- Therefore, the slit experiment is a probability map. It shows where particles are more or less likely to be, in bands. It proves that quantum probabilities are waves.
These facts explain all the so called mysteries of quantum physics. Nothing weird or inexplicable happens. Waves are waves of probability. Particles are never waves. The probabilities of the positions of particles are entangled mathematically. Objects are not themselves entangled at all. It is therefore probably not possible to build a quantum computer based on the assumption that objects are entangled. Nothing is ever in two places at once. The cat is not alive and dead. Probabilities add up to one and are simultaneous. Quantum calculation is non binary, and can’t be performed or simulated by a linear binary computer. There is no such thing as quantum time or quantum gravity. Many worlds are possible but only one exists. Nothing is determined.
And God does not need to play dice. Or do anything else.
